Update: AL 911 Board CEU Changes

From Priscilla Ellington via Facebook…

On yesterday, the Alabama 911 Board had their scheduled board meeting and on their agenda was to vote on Rule 585-X-5, Section 4: Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Several board members wanted to increase the minimum number of CEUs from 12 to 24 per year in order for PSTs to maintain their certification. Thanks to Sheriff Heath Jackson and the 911 director from St Clair County (Aislinn Campbell), that amendment did not pass! They spoke up for all PSTs, not just their local agencies. So as of now we will remain at 12 CEUs per year, until the board decides to vote on it again in the future. 💛🤍🖤
